Alumnae Ambassadors

Miss Ambassador Clare Steffen
Clare is a social butterfly at heart! She is a senior at Farmington High School and is also currently taking dual-enrollment classes through Normandale community college. After graduating, she hopes to attend St. Olaf to obtain an undergraduate degree and eventually go to medical school to become a PM&R (physician in medicine and rehabilitation) specializing in pediatric special needs care. Clare is involved in National Honors Society, choir, and track and field at her school. When she is not volunteering, singing or at practice, you can find her at one of her 4 jobs which include lifeguarding, being a personal care assistant (PCA), being an assistant swim coach at Brackett’s crossing country club, and teaching swim lessons to kids ranging from 6 months to 16 years old and even does adaptive private lessons for special needs kids. Through the Farmington Ambassador Program, Clare is excited to learn all about different communities and make tons of friends. Her motto in life is to always do everything as if it will be your last time!

Miss Ambassador Katelyn Kiage
Katelyn is a senior at Farmington High School and is currently taking duel-enrollment classes through Normandale Community College. After high school, she is planning to attend college to study Radiology. She is a captain for the Farmington Girl’s Soccer Team and is a captain for the Farmington Dance Team as well. Katelyn is very grateful for the lasting connections she is making as a Farmington Ambassador and is excited to continue to grow in her leadership from this role.

Miss Ambassador Rylee Halda
Rylee is a senior at Farmington High School and is currently taking dual-enrollment classes through Normandale Community College. After graduating, she hopes to attend a university to obtain her BSN and eventually go to CRNA school to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Rylee loves to keep busy playing rugby for the Hopkins Rugby Club and Loons Rugby Academy, flag football at FHS, painting and traveling. She has been involved in the Farmington Ambassador Program for 10 years and stays involved where she can. Through the Farmington Ambassador Program, Rylee has formed new relationships and has gained public speaking skills that will last her a lifetime.

Junior Ambassador Ari Flores-Cortes
Ari is a freshman at Farmington High School. She enjoys playing volleyball and just finished her first high school season. When she’s not at ambassador events she’s either reading a good dystopian book, hanging out with friends or watching a comedy/horror movie. Ari joined the Farmington Ambassador Program because she loves volunteering, helping out and also to get out of her comfort zone, meet new people and learn new things. This program has already helped her crack out of her shell and gain more knowledge about herself and her community.

Junior Ambassador Kate Morehead
Kate is a freshman at Farmington High School. She is on the high school girl’s varsity tennis team and plays clarinet in the Farmington Tiger Marching Band. During her free time, she loves to read, snowboard, and spend time with friends and family. Kate joined the Farmington Ambassador Program to learn more about her community, meet new people, and improve her public speaking skills. The program has already helped her make new friends and grow in the communities around her and she can’t wait to see what’s next.

Junior Ambassador Violet Strawn
Violet is a freshman at Farmington High School. She loves creating music in the marching band as a percussionist, dance and theater. When she’s not playing music, you’ll most likely find her spending time with friends and family or crocheting. Violet joined the Farmington Ambassador Program to build friendships, support her community and improve her public speaking skills. This program has truly been amazing and she looks forward to the adventures to come.
